About the Program

The best half marathon-specific training program in Portland, period! Foot Traffic University prepares participants to complete either the Foot Traffic Flat Half or the Run Like Hell Half in an informational, really fun environment. Plus, all members get $15 discounts into both

races, which makes this program an even better value for any level of runner or walker looking to prepare for these races!

 

Our strict "no megaphone" policy and 300-registrant limit ensures that you will be treated like an individual and have constant access to pace mentors and coaches.  The emphasis is on adaptation to each athlete's ability and focus on completion.   • For Runners & Walkers (and those in between!). Coaches for both!
  • Pace Group from 7 min. miles to 20 min. miles. Over 20 experienced pace mentors this year, inlcuding three for our popular walk-to-run group!
  • Beautiful marked courses and maps.
  • FTU BABY

    Yes, babies are welcome at FTU.

    Strollers & drool are a common sight!

  • Meets three Saturdays per month at 8am.
  • Meeting locations vary between, Lake Oswego, North/Northeast Portland, Downtown Portland, and a few surprises!
  • Everyone receives a technical fabric "member" t-shirt
  • Food and prizes throughout the program! Free Smartwool Socks!
  • Informational seminars on Saturday mornings with experts in a variety of fields.
  • Weekly schedules emailed to membrers that outline both weekday and weekend workouts.
  • Optional Conditioning Programs at Edge fitness on Interstate Ave. and discounts to Yoga and fitness classes at Alameda Fitness on 41st and Fremont.
  • Relaxed, no-pressure environment.
  • FUN, FUN, FUN!

Members meet each Saturday morning at 8am at a variety of scenic courses in the Portland Metro area. In addition to the weekend workouts, members receive a full schedule with recommended weekly workouts and cross training ideas.


Sign-ups continue into the first week of April and ALL ABILITIES are encouraged. Remember, it's much easier to complete a goal when working with similarly focused individuals. Plus...learn lots of great training tips, take advantage of unlimited email contact with experienced coaches, and have fun running or walking beautiful, unique courses around Portland. COST, REFERRALS, and CONDITIONING PROGRAM INFO:

Cost: $85 (plus a $15 race fee discount!). Optional $60 fee for conditioning program.

CONDITIONING PROGRAM: Contact Kate Fischer from EDGE Fitness at katefischer23@gmail.com for scheduling and more info. This is a once per week training program that focuses on core strength and injury prevention. Highly recommended but not mandatory.
